BEASTARS SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE, PLOT, TRAILER & NEW LOGO [FINAL SEASON]

Beastars is an action/drama based on the manga of the same name created by Paru Itagaki. Set in a modern civilization populated with anthropomorphic animals, the show and manga focus on a group of teenage students as they attempt to solve a heinous murder that takes place on their school campus. The world of Beastars is split between carnivores and herbivores, whose fragile coexistence is put into jeopardy.

The series rose to popularity among international audiences and was nominated for an Ursa Major Award for Best Dramatic Series. Beastars Season Two debuted in the U.S. on July 15th of this year along with a quick third season renewal. The manga ended its run in October of 2020 after 22 volumes.

The unique storyline has attracted a lot of interest from the audience, and the anime series is set for the release of its third season, which is also its final season, anytime soon. So let’s take a look at what we know about Beastars season 3 so far.

Beastars Season 3 Cancelled

If spoilers are true, there are peaceful talks about Beastars season 3 cancellation. However, neither has Studio orange announced the cancellation nor did Netflix.

There has been no official trailer release or even announcement regarding Beastars season 3 release date yet. So the fans can only hope for the best and return their favorite anime.

Is Beastars worth watching?

Once Studio Orange announced the anime based on the civil society of the anthropomorphic animals, there was quite a curiosity surrounding it. However, after the first season’s release, the fans are excited to watch the mystery unfold. We should complement the series and its strong content and amazing characters.

Beastars has received positive reviews so far, and the fans can only hope for the same as Beastars season 3, for which the fans are waiting eagerly.

Will Beastars Season 3 Happen?

It’s great news for viewers of Beastars, Studio Orange has officially renewed the amazing anime series for season 3. Whilst Beastars is labeled as a Netflix original anime series, the platform only purchases the international broadcasting rights – meaning that any renewal decision is made by Studio Orange and the Japanese broadcast partners.

Netflix does not release the official viewership statistics, but it is obvious how popular the anthropomorphic anime is around the world: scoring 7.9/10 on MyAnimeList across an astonishing 140,000 reviews!

There is also plenty of source material from the manga series left to adapt into more anime seasons, which can often be the decisive factor in series renewals.

According to sources, season 2 concluded around chapter 99 in the series, the beginning of volume 12. Thankfully, 196 chapters across 22 volumes have now been published, meaning that there is plenty of source material left to be adapted.

Beastars Season 3 Release Date

Beastars was first released on March 13, 2020, outside Japan, on Netflix. Before this, the show was originally released on Fui Tv in 2019, but later on, the rights went to Netflix. The second season of Beastars has had a release date of July 15, 2021. With the two seasons releasing back to back and when the world seems to be recovering from the pandemic, Unfortunately, a release date for Beastars season 3 was not revealed alongside the renewal announcement back in July 2021.

However, assuming that season 3 will experience a similar production schedule as previous installments, fans should expect Beastars to return in April 2022.

Fans should note that this correlates to the start of the 2022 Spring anime slate, but it would only apply to Japanese broadcasters, who premiere the series first before it arrives on Netflix.

The streaming giant has released new Beastars seasons between three and four months after the domestic finale – meaning that the anime will likely not return to Netflix until September 2022 If reports are believed, Beastars season 3 release date will be sometime around mid of 2023.

Is the Beastars Anime Over?

Unfortunately, Viewers of the Beastars series will be disappointed to learn that the third season of the anime will be the final season. On December 7th, the official Orange Anime Studio Beastars – Twitter page shared the BEASTARS new logo for the third broadcast, which is simply titled “Final Season.”

According to spoilers, the third season of Beastars could consist of 24 episodes, instead of the 12 that previous seasons have had. This would allow the remaining anime episodes to fully adapt to the remaining manga chapters.  we could see a feature film being produced – as is the recent trend within the anime industry.

Beastars Season 3 Characters

Even though there are no announcements regarding the new voice cast members of Beastars season 3 by Studio Orange, it is quite obvious that the original cast might return. 

The cast of the third season might include Chikahiro Kobayashi, who voices the character of Legoshi, Yuki Ono as Louis, Sayaka Senbongi, who voices the character of Haru.

Other cast members of the side roles include Atsumi Tanezaki who voices Juno, Junyo Enoki who voices Jack, Akio Ohtsuka who voices Gouhin, Takeo Otsuka who voices Collot, Yoshiyuki Shimozuma who voices Voss, Fukushi Ochiai as Sanou, Yuma Uchida as Miguno, Nato Kobayashi who voiced Durham, Yuki Kaji as Pina and Nobuhiko Okamoto as Kai.

Beastars Season 3 Plot

The story revolves around a group of animals who are sent to an island called “Beastars” where they have to fight against each other for survival.

The protagonist, Haru, is one of these animals and has been fighting for his life ever since he was born.

Season 2 ended with a mysterious murder that gave the rise to everyone’s curiosity and eagerly waited for the third season.

There has been a sale of more than 15,000 copies. DVD/Blu-Ray discs contribute to around 15-20% of the revenue for an anime series. This may sound un-profitable and also made many animes a failure.

Where to Watch Online?

Beastars has gained huge popularity amongst the fans, and the series was first released on Fuji TV’s +Ultra in 2019. However, later on, Netflix bought the rights, and both seasons, season 1 and season 2, are available on Netflix after, Netflix Japan got it.

Studio Orange and Netflix will release the anime Beastars season 3 soon, and it will be on Netflix.
