Adapted from the manga of the same name by Hajime Isayama, Attack On Titan has been a staple series for anime fans around the world since its premiere in 2013. What started out as a deadly but straightforward tale about Man bs. Titan, the series changed over the years to something impossibly darker for the characters we all know and love.
For the better part of 2021, fans have waited with anticipation to a conclusion to the War for Paradis and the fates of Eren leager, his friends, enemies, and everyone else in between, with questions and theories abound. If you’re like us, bold on just a bit longer, because the end to Attack On Titan is right around the corner.
Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 will involve the same creative team as Part 1, and will still be animated by Studio MAPPA. One thing we don’t know is how many episodes this last season will run, but it is expected to cover the entire end of the manga, which earlier this year on June 9.
However, when the finale aired last month, the majority of fans already knew that more AOT content was to be pushed. This is not the case, with the official announcement confirming without doubt that the series will return as a second Part to season 4. It is worth remembering that for the entirety of the promotional campaign for Attack on Titan season 4, It was labeled as the final season.
Unless MAPPA and the series’ associated broadcasting partners backtrack on this label, it would suggest that there will not be another separate season of anime. Therefore, it is more probable that Attack on Titan would return for a second half to season 4.
For those watching with Japanese audio, Yuki Kai will of course be returning to finish Eren Jaeger’s journey. He will be joined by –

For those watching the English dub, Bryce Papernrook will be voicing Eren Jaeger one last time. Trina Nishimura will continue to voice Mikasa Ackerman, with Josh Grelle as Armin Arlert, Robert McCollum as Reiner Braum, and Jason Lieberechet as Zeke Jaeger.
The Attack on Titan Episode 76 release date is January 9, 2022. Expect Crunchyroll and Funimation to carry each new episode as a “simulcast”. For the uninitiated that means they air with English subtitles on the same day as each episode launches in Japan.
The second half of Attack On Titan Season 4 finally has a release date: Sunday, January 9, 2022. Following Episode 16, “Above and Below”, Part 2 will resume with Episode 17, “Judgement”, It’ll be available to stream on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. An official date and episode count has yet to be confirmed, but Attack on Titan: The Final Season Part 2 will either be a tight 10 episodes, like the approach taken with the second half of season three, allowed her room to breathe and end up around the same length as Part 1. When Attack on Titan is completely finished, it should have somewhere between 85 & 91 episodes.
Attack on Titan manga readers will know exactly what to expect from the final batch of episodes, Without giving away spoilers, the mid-season finale sets up a rematch between Eren and Rainer as the forces from Marley clash with Eren’s faction in Shiganshina. Attack on Titan still needs to reveal Levi’s fate and explain what on Earth’s happening with Zake in the stomach of a Titan. It’s inevitable that Eren will eventually unlock the full power of the Founding Tiran, with or without his brother, and only then will his true intentions be revealed.
The Attack on Titan anime still hasn’t explained how the Titan power originated, and the survey Corps can’t be locked up forever. Expect Mikasa, Jean, Armin, and the other to go out in style, while Historia’s child could also spring a late surprise. Ultimately, Attack on Titan season 4, Part 2 must reveal the future of the world when the war between Eldia and Marley is done.

Following the conclusion of Part 1, a very short but sweet teaser for the next episode was released and the emotional piano music suggests that it’s going to be a sad one. A teaser visual was also revealed at MAPPA Stage 2021, along with a tweet revealing the first episode’s title and confirming a winter release date.
There’s no word yet on an episode count, though those who are following along with the manga source material will be acutely aware each episode has only covered one or two chapters each. There are roughly 25 chapters left. That would mean another 16 episodes isn’t out of the realms of possibility.
Attack on Titan is a curious one – the main character and protagonist of the series is undoubtedly Eren Jeager, a teenager who swears revenge on the Titans after they destroy his hometown and kill his mother. He then joins the Military with childhood friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlet, with the three fightings and studying Titans as part of the Survey Corps.

However, despite his heroic origins, Ereen undergoes an almost reverse character arc, performing more and more violent acts until he becomes more of an anti-hero. By the end of season 4 Part 1, he has announced his intention to destroy all nations outside of Paradis, and become the final series antagonist.
With Half a Season left, Only time will tell if Eren can be redeemed…
