‘Ouran Koukou Host Club’, also known as Ouran Highschool Host Club is an anime adaptation of a Manga of the same name written by Bisco Hatori. On MyAnimeList, this show is ranked at #359 with a rating of 8.17 with about 900k members. Meanwhile, on IMBD the series received a rating of 8.3, which is based on user feedback.

The romantic comedy anime was very popular after it was released, and while there were drama CDs, a visual novel, and a live-action series that came out around the same time and later, there hasn’t been a second season of the fan-favorite anime. 15 years after Season 1 was released, fans are still waiting for the second season of Ouran High School Host Club. Here’s everything we know so far about “Ouran High School Host Club” Season 2.

Ouran Highschool Host Club Season 2 Announcement & Release Date

This was the closest thing to an Official Announcement that fans were eagerly waiting for. It was speculated that after 14 years of waiting, fans will get to enjoy the second season by 2022, but there is still no announcement from the makers.

Ouran Highschool Host Club has a lot working in its favor, as the animation studio Bones is still going strong, the original director currently isn’t working on anything, and the show’s only seen its popularity grow over the years. It’s possible that the next entry in the franchise might be a movie or a reboot instead of Season 2.

But that’s just as exciting for fans who have been waiting so long. If the rumors of a possible upcoming Season 2 are true, then the earliest fans can expect to see new episodes is likely mid-2023.

Ouran Highschool Host Club Season 2 Plot

“Ouran High School Host Club” follows adolescent Haruhi Fujioka as she enrolls on scholarship at the esteemed Ouran High School. Shortly after arriving, Haruhi wanders into a room in search of study space and finds a gathering of the Host Club, which is made up of six male students who entertain female “clients” while they are under their care. Unfortunately, Haruhi’s clumsiness causes her to break a pricey vase.

Because the club believes she is a boy, it forces her to become a “Host” in order to make up for the loss. It turns out that Haruhi naturally has a gift for seducing women, and even once the boys discover that she is a woman, they keep her identity a secret so that she can continue to serve as a Host for them.

Ouran Highschool Host Club Ending Explained (Review)

First up, let’s revise the ending of season 1 of the series which could potentially leave room for the second season. As we all know, in the last episode, Eclair Tonnerre allows Tamaki to save Haruhi and thus witness his love for her as well as for the entire club. Furthermore, she gives up on buying Otori’s family’s company and thus all the financial issues get stopped them.

Thereon, we see that the Grand Parade is over and during the night of the fair, Haruhi dances with everyone in the club. At last, she dances with Tamaki senpai who was eagerly waiting for her. Moreover, we see a disagreement between Kyoya and Tamaki’s father over Haruhi which states that there could be an unsaid battle between Otori and Suoh families.

It would be fun to witness this battle in the next season. Finally, the series ended with a glimpse of all the Host Club members waiting for us to join them in Music Room #3.

This ending is acceptable but a definite ending to the series can only be given when all the members of the club graduate. Therefore even though the first season ended, there’s a lot of room for the second season and so the climax isn’t a hindrance to it.
