God Eater Season 2: is a sci-fi anime series that is an adaptation of the God Eater video game franchise. It is created by Shift and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The video game and the TV series are set in a post-apocalyptic future where man-eating creatures called Aragami have taken humanity to the verge of extinction. These monsters aren’t easy to kill as they cannot be defeated with conventional weapons either. Therefore, an organization called Fenrir has created weapons called God Arcs that can defeat these monsters.  

This series is amazing, and fans have shown immense admiration for it. Those who make these weapons are badasses who are called God Eaters. The original game was released for the first time in 2010 for the PlayStation Portable, with God Eater 2 and 3 released in 2013 and 2018, respectively.

It received a favorable response in general. This is why it was given a high rating. IMDB, a well-known website, awarded it a 7 rating, while Myanimelist gave it a 7.3 rating.

The God Eater anime was made to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the very loved video game franchise. However, even though it was loved and praised for having a beautiful and artistic unique art style, the show also was criticized for production issues that aired the final four episodes pretty late. Even though it has been a long time since the last season came out, fans still are waiting for the second installment.

There are fewer than five figurines, which is not great. There are also more than 600 pieces of merchandise made for this series. That is a good amount.

Other than a few fantastic posters for God Eater it’s hard to find anything for the Noragami series anymore in 2023.

GOD EATER SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE

God Eater Season 2 was slated to premiere in 2017. It was supposed to be released in 2019, however, that was pushed back. The series of video games were also launched at the same time.

Anime is usually produced to promote the source material. It wasn’t a manga or a light book in this case. A video game was involved. Despite the absence of a second installment, the game’s successors fared well.
