Gate Season 3: which is called Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri in Japanese, is a fantasy anime series that is based on a manga of the same name and a light novel. The light novels were written by Takumi Yanai and illustrated by Daisuke Izuka and Kurojishi and were published for the first time on April 12, 2010.
The final volume was published on December 22, 2011. Before the series reached its end, it was adapted into a manga series illustrated by Satoru Sao in July 2011. Ever since then, three spin-off manga series have been released based on the original. There is no doubt about the show’s popularity.
Season 1 of the series was released five years after the publication of the light-novel series and premiered on July 4, 2015. It soon became a super hit among fans, and Season 2 premiered less than a year later, on January 9, 2016.

It’s been 6 years completed and A1 Pictures has given no announcement about a release date for Season 3. The VFX team who worked on the first two seasons has also been hired for Season 3 in 2017.
