ERASED ANIME SEASON 2: CONFIRMED RELEASE DATE! DID THE SHOW GET FINALLY RENEWED?

Erased, also known as Boku Dake ga Inai Machi or The Town Where Only I Am Missing, is a mystery, supernatural anime that aired in 2016. Does this increase the likelihood that “Erased Anime Season 2” will receive a new season? Let’s investigate.

The anime is produced by A-1 Pictures and Fuji TV‘s Noitamina. It is based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Kei Sanbe

Erased gained new followers after Netflix decided to release it five years after the anime had stopped airing. Over the past few years, the streamer has concentrated on expanding its selection of anime films.

Erased Anime Season 2 Ratings

If you haven’t seen the series and are interested in its quality, I can promise you that it’s rather lovely! 8.5/10 is a decent IMDb rating, and the program has an 8.32/10 average audience rating on Myanimelist. So, without a doubt, this program is a keeper in my opinion.

If you’re still on the fence about viewing it, read what others had to say about it after you.

Will There Be ‘Erased’ Season 2?

Currently ‘Erased’ is not renewed for season 2 yet. It’s also uncertain if the anime will ever receive a subsequent season. The anime was finished six years ago. Even though the anime switched to Netflix and gained more viewers, it’s still unclear whether this would be enough to approve a new season.

In April 2016, the first manga series came to an end. Both the live-action film and anime versions were made available in March 2016. Crunchyroll claims that only the live-action movie version stayed true to the manga’s original conclusion. The anime is still popular despite this.

When Will ‘Erased Anime’ Season 2 be Released?

There is no official confirmation for season 2 yet, so there is also no release date.

Assuming that the release date for the anime will help it get another season, it won’t likely release at least until 2024.

Who Is Cast In ‘Erased’ Season 2?

Erased Season 2 Characters

We are still waiting for season 2 to get officially renewed, so there is still no cast list for season 2. The cast list will depend on what the plot of the new season will be. The lead character in season 1 of ‘Erased’ has two different voice actors since the character gets portrayed in two different ages. That might not be the case if the anime gets a new season.

CharacterVoice Actor

Minami TakayamaSachiko Fujinuma
David W. Collins Gaku Yashiro

What Is The Plot Of ‘Erased’?

Erased, tells the story of Satoru Fujinuma, a young guy from Chiba with a special ability called “Revival” that enables him to flee a potentially fatal situation by traveling back in time just a few seconds beforehand. He is able to stop fatal occurrences from happening again thanks to this talent. Satoru has another chance to save his mother after she is slain by an unidentified assailant in his home, and he also has a chance to stop the kidnapping incident that claimed the lives of three of his childhood friends.

The anime had a satisfying conclusion and resolved all the mysteries, albeit diverging somewhat from the manga’s plot. In the event that a second season is approved, additional material will need to be written. Maybe Satoru will have a fresh case to solve or another murder to avert. Whatever it is, it will logically keep focusing on his ability to traverse through time.

The manga has a spin-off novel that explores what happened after the events of ‘Erased.’ It explored the killer’s motives, which could also be good source material for season 2.

Is There An Official Trailer For ‘Erased’ Season 2?

Where Can I Watch Season 2?
